David Artavia is an award-winning editor and journalist, recognized by GLAAD, NLGJA and Folio for his contributions to media.

Currently a senior reporter at Yahoo News, David served as editor-in-chief of both Out and The Advocate magazines, where he also held the role of managing editor. His investigations during the #MeToo movement earned widespread acclaim, fueling his ongoing commitment to justice and accountability in the realms of politics, health and equal rights.

An experienced interviewer both on and off camera, David has hosted, produced and co-written numerous multimedia projects, including the Cannes Lions-nominated queer Latinx podcast Love in Gravity. He serves as the global co-lead for Prism, Yahoo's LGBTQ+ employee resource group, where he continues to champion diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
