Featuring Ali Krieger (she/her), co-host of Futbol W and Katie Barnes (they/them), Writer
An interactive panel where Ali and Katie discuss their personal opportunities and challenges contributing to ESPN content.  The conversation will spotlight Ali’s decision to join ESPN this year, following a successful career as a professional and international soccer star, and take on a new challenge as a co-host for the new show - Futbol W.  The dialogue will also highlight Katie’s nearly decade-long journey at ESPN as an award-winning journalist covering the intersection of sports and gender.  An audience Q&A session will follow the initial discussion.  The panel’s objective is to target a pair of NLGJA’s goals - supporting the next generation of LGBTQ+ leaders and strengthening the identity, respect and status of LGBTQ+ journalists.

A conversation focused on how ESPN supports a diverse and inclusive workplace from the perspective of its behind-the-scenes contributors and what opportunities exist individually, and for ESPN as a whole, to continue growing and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.
